Profile
I am an open minded, spontaneous and outgoing person with great curiosity and desire to travel and experience new countries, cultures and the people that underpin it.
I work as a Project Manager at Statens og Kommunernes Indkøbs Service A/S (SKI). SKI contributes to greater efficiency in the area of public purchasing by establishing and maintaining attractive framework agreements. Our customers are all Danish public organisations. My primary task is to steer the strategic projects to realize our ambitious growth strategy. This is an ideal position as it allows me to work in the areas that motivate me the most, namely business development through strategy, projects and human resources. I love to define strategic projects, set goals and fulfill the mission. I hope to gain new insights into the ways in which companies in Chile approach similar situations. A wish is to learn about alternative approaches to business strategy and development, to public-private cooperation and to public organization and procurement/purchasing.
I fill my leisure time primarily with family and friends as well as yoga, meditation and physical exercise.
I enjoy the nature, theatre, concerts and exhibitions of contemporary art and modern architecture and design. I love experiencing new cuisines and a good glass of wine. A favourite activity is travelling whenever and wherever it is possible and preferably to places with either a pulsating city life or the calmness of nature. Great nature highly includes nature beneath the water surface as diving is a great passion of mine. I dive in Denmark during the summer and as often as possible abroad where the water is warmer and offers a more generous underwater life and fauna.
I am looking forward to the GSE Chile exchange with great expectation, as I see it as a unique opportunity to develop professionally as well as personally. The exchange makes it possible to engage intensely with, and learn from, the kind Chileans that welcomes us into their country, homes, businesses/institutions and lives. I hope to learn, grow, get inspired and establish friendships and network relations – and hopefully contribute in return. Most of all I am excited to gain insight in the Chilean country, people, culture and way of living. Slightly nervous I also welcome the opportunity to brush up on my scarce Spanish skills J
Vocational Wish List
- Business development – as it is practiced in Chilean companies (private or public)
- Strategy execution and realisation – as it is practiced in Chilean companies (private or public)
- Project Management and e.g. innovation
- Public-private cooperation within e.g. procurement
- Public organisation and e.g. professionalization of public procurement
- Political and governmental organizations/institutions
NB. The genre – or business sector – as such is not crucial to me. Rather, what is important to me is working with business development, executing strategies and turning around the business in the best possible way, always developing the business, the people that underpin it and looking ahead.
